Structure of the Paper
The Paper 2 exam is worth 25% of the final mark. The duration of the exam is 2 hours for Higher Level (HL) students and 1.5 hours for Standard Level (SL) students.
The Paper 2 exam is assessed by an external examiner using the IB assessment criteria. The criteria are:
- Criterion A: Knowledge, understanding and interpretation (5 marks)
- Criterion B: Analysis and evaluation (5 marks)
- Criterion C: Focus, organisation and development (5 marks)
- Criterion D: Language (5 marks)
